State Capitols Project

If you ever find yourself bored, stop by photographer Edward Crim’s gallery of US state capitol buildings.

So stimulating, it should be declared NSFW!

Where is Pierre? Its a travesty. At least note the ledgend of the blue tiles.

I always found the art deco ones really cool, Lincoln and Baton Rouge (althought evertime I saw that one I always started to hum the theme to Dragnet).

Finally, its always amused me how many of them look like they were ordered out of a catalouge called “CAPITOL DOMES R US, Free shipping”

I have been in or on the grounds of : Raleigh (of course), Baton Rouge, Des Moines and Austin.

I was doing a short opposition research project in Red Stick, LA on Mary Landriau during the 1996 US senate race there. Obviously, it didn’t do much good.
