Yeah. I’m certainly not impressed. So, South Korea sent planes as a response…Standard OP and no big deal. In war, though, you don’t waste your time with such charades. Those North Korean air farce MIG-21s (first built in the 1950’s) could have been easily blown out of the sky by South Korean SHORAD batteries within a minute or two of take off.
Well pilgrims, a day without blood is like a day without sunshine.
Gives the coneheads something to do…
Let them use up what little oil they have left with their pointless military maneuvers. This is definitely a big yawn.
#4,
Not only that, those old airplanes will be in the hangar for weeks of maintenance (and they’ll probably end up cannibalizing some of their other planes for replacement parts…which is why they didn’t send their newer Mig-29s…don’t have enough to cannibalize and can’t afford to import replacement parts).
I’m not sure if Robert or anyone else has seen this series and mentioned it before, I apologize if they have. But, I just came across a very interesting series on North Korea made by the guys from VBS (Vice TV) @ http://www.vbs.tv/shows.php?search=north+korea
I’m not sure how on Earth they managed to shoot these videos with so much freedom but it’s an eye-opener nevertheless.
Yup El Canguro, Shane’s trip to Pyongyang was posted earlier this month and it is a good series. On a side note I hope that the marmot is really not going to stop blogging. This site is soo informative and well put together. Everyday I come here to get my fix.
Damnit! I got foiled. Forgot that in Korea it is already April 1st and not march 31st like here in the states. Nice joke, I got fooled by ROk drop.
