As for my lack of reading comprehension skills, I read the comments two ways, as #’s 7 and 8 together, and did consider the fact that perhaps the referent was the man in the article and not, in fact me.

Yet, since #7 was in reference to me and #8 could go either way, combined with the fact that that exact inane criticism has been laid in relation to FMS both here and as attempted spam comments on my site, I thought I’d have my say.

So, #12, thanks for the clarification and I apologize for getting pissy. Happens sometimes, especially when one’s comment box is chock full of just such comments.

All that being said, I still enjoyed the little exercise in sarcasm. Thanks for the compliment on the alliteration. I liked it, too.

Again, I stand corrected and apologize for taking out my irritation with idiocy on you — your comment just sounds like dozens of others that I constantly erase from the FMS site, my own site, and which has cropped up here a couple times as well.

As for #17:

Score one for the metro, all he needs now is to move into his mom’s basement to fulfill the cliche.

Poor little Metro got all in a tizzy ’cause he thought his manhood was being insulted! And it was extremely obvious to everyone but him that the comment in question had nothing to do with him! So he unleashes a tirade, screeching about how often he gets to talk to famous people, and insults his “insulter” by saying he spends too much time on the internet! The Metro, a prolific blogger, says this! Good Lord, what a pitiful post. I’m embarrassed for him. I mean, the guy has a PhD or something, right? Or a Master’s? And he’s the smartest guy in the world, right? Grow up, man. If you’re really getting laid then the nookie should be enough for you, and you shouldn’t need to brag about it on THE INTERNET of all places.
