Roh’s aides apparently sabotaged the Blue House’s in-house computerized database. Maybe they were working for the Japanese all along . . .

Presidential secretaries complain they have a difficult job because aides to former President Roh Moo-hyun left no records or information of work done at Cheong Wa Dae
let me sum it up for you
they accomplished nothing!
start from scratch!
Damn…and I thought he was finished giving blogging material.
He is the gift that keeps on giving.
“let me sum it up for you
they accomplished nothing!
start from scratch!”
LOL
I guess the were worried people would find out that he had spent most of the last 5 years playing gostop on the internet.
“Documents drawn up under Roh were moved…” I’m confused. They aren’t specific about “documents”. I hope they don’t mean documents essential to the continued operation of the presidential office.
Oh, I’m sorry. I’m no expert so I’ll go back to teaching.
Reminds me of the Clintonista scamps who relieved all the White House keyboards of their “w” keys awhile back.
Reminds me of that mysterious fire in the Consolidated Government Building in Gwanhwamun, just a few days before 2MB was sworn in. No doubt all those carbonized files contained nothing of significance…
Burn, Baby, Burn! Delete, Darlin’, Delete!
LOL! I did the same thing when I left my last hogwan job in 2004!
I deleted EVERYTHING, emptied the recyle bin, deleted the whole desktop, and then password-protected the computer.
There are probably ways to get in and recover everything, but they certainly didn’t know how.
Some hard disks were probably physically damaged so as to prevent technicians from recovering data but, you know, there are some very smart people that can probably get all that back.
Undoubtedly there are some really wicked things that Roh’s people did that the public will not be aware of — for now.
Remember that the Transition Committee on 27 Dec “urged” Cheong Wa Dae to hand over all administrative records intact. Committee Vice Chairman Kim Hyong-o, in an apparent warning against the temptations to destroy files, said, “We expect the current government to preserve records of all activities it has carried out and faithfully cooperate with the Transition Committee in submitting data the committee will request in the future.”
At the time it appeared to me that the Lee Administration was preparing to do some “payback” once in office — and the 27 Dec Transition Committee threat was all that was needed to start everyone pushing their “delete” keys. The Roh folks did the sensible thing by destroying any incriminating evidence before they left office. No use in giving the LMB folks ammunition for their upcoming witch hunts.
RMH is simply a piece of #*@&.
I’m not defending RMH, but consider the source of this info… the “Washington Times of Korea” — the Chosun Ilbo! LMB’s transition team were making policy moves before they’d even been officially placed in office, lending some credence to the Roh claim that “the new government rejected them.”
Except that the ‘W’s’ on the keyboards were never taken away. Nor was furniture stolen. Those were just apocryphal stories.
Good ole’ Roh. Incompetant at best, conniving and manipulative at worst.
At least, he’s been consistent right to the very end.

Could you blame him for trying to remove any relevant evidence from his office that Korea ever had a president as craptastical as him? I wouldn’t.
