The KT has a write-up on Manhattan’s Koreatown. Might be of interest to some.

Nice article. I had no idea they opened Circle here. (Not that I’ve been to the Korean one.)
The NYT also has an article on competing Korean-run yogurt shops:

The food in Manhattan is outrageously overpriced and not that great. Go to Queens.
Flushing has too many naughty korean hoodlums who carry around 1 inch knives to stab you but not seriously injure you. go to new jersey koreatown
korea beat…i was in ny in decemeber and thought the prices were no different than any other korean restaurants in other parts of the country. of course, compare to korea, it is overpriced. i went to gam mee ok and thought the food was great. my gf commented that it was the best korean food she had in the states, and there are lot of them in seattle where we live. on a somewhat related note, we also we went to todai on 32nd and that was the worst sushi i ever had…not that anyone cares.
Funny, I went to the Todai in COEX just after it opened a few months ago. I wrote them a comment card saying ‘Service great; Udong good; Fish awful’. How they found raw fish with no taste at all was beyond me. Maybe genetically modified for wet tissue flavor…
it shouldnt be called a town its more like a block and a half
That is a fun part of town, but I must say that KT piece read like bad advertising copy. Who edits the english version ofthat paper?
what’s the title of the article?
Koreans have been transitioning to NJ now, and are even moving to areas in upstate NY. Flushing is being taken over by Chinese now. Manhatten’s 5th and 43rd area still has good restaraunts.
