Hanok Masters

If you read Korean, DesignHouse introduces 13 master hanok designers. Well worth the read. DesignHouse has been running a series on hanok (linked at the bottom of the page), and if you have the time, you’ll want to read through it. Very good stuff.

Er, off topic, but I just wanted to congratulate you, Robert, on your WSJ article! (Sorry if I missed the right thread.)

Robert, many thanks for the link, it’s a great article and filled with excellent photos… I will wade through the entire Korean text with my dictionary in hand once I can get a little time free. And as a longtime lurker who has only recently surfaced to occasionally comment, let me thank you for your ongoing interest in both the traditional and early modern architecture on Korea… it’s one of the things that keeps me coming back to the Marmot’s Hole again and again. Surely you are incubating at least one, or possibly several, books on the subject of Korean architecture?

Now I know who to consider if I ever want to build a real hanock-influenced house down south. It is a very nice article, albeit, I read it very slowly and with people yelling corrections at me.
