Anyone with a cat knows that that only works if the one wearing the bell is within earshot. Now, babies aren’t terribly mobile on their own, and you can give a kid a cell phone with a GPS tracker once it’s old enough to walk, so putting bells on ‘em is probably not the most effective way anymore.
