Our daughter got a gold necklace, two bracelets and 4-5 rings for her first birthday. We also got enought cash to pay for the party. The way gold has risen, we are tempted to cash most of those in and put the money in her college fund.
Anyone with a cat knows that that only works if the one wearing the bell is within earshot. Now, babies aren’t terribly mobile on their own, and you can give a kid a cell phone with a GPS tracker once it’s old enough to walk, so putting bells on ‘em is probably not the most effective way anymore.
