This could be a great strategy by LMB.

Just keep putting anti-norks into the Unification Minister's job. Eventually he can point to the leftist assembly and say that he tried to appease them but evidently THEY don't care about that position and it should be eliminated.

"United States citizenship held by Nam’s family members also foiled his appointment. The Korean public is still largely intolerant of this, which is seen as a means for men to escape compulsory military service."

Intolerance stemming from their own jealousy? I've seen some on their 'reserve training'...The majority of the guys I've seen looked as if they took no pride in their uniforms. They looked like 'bags of shit' as we used to say when I served: lint on their misshapen berets (pizza heads), threads hanging from their wrinkled uniforms, scuffed boots, and (sometimes)a 5 o'clock shadow.
