#59 I’ve been told that the business structure of free wheeling consultants is what got the NTS’s attention. I have also heard the JJ’s ambition had a big part in it.

Kim and Chang are being investigated by the National tax service. The boxes that they use to gather up documents are blue with the NTS logo on them.

As much as I am filled with disdain for Kim & Chang, all of it admittedly out of professional jealousy over their -- in my opinion -- undeserved market dominance, investigation by the National Tax Service is not proof of anything. It's proof of suspicion of something. And probably all it proves is that Roh was mad at them over something.

For Sonagi:

"We elementary school teachers do NOT want you to volunteer in our classrooms. We think you need to get a JOB, get a LIFE!"

Response:

Our children are our lives and we're in your classroom because we know how little some of you really care about them and about us. Our little secret? We don't trust you with our children unless we're keeping an eye on you.

dogbert:

Do they still let K.S. Mok light up in a “non-smoking” building?

My office is far from Mr. Mok's, so I can't say for sure, but I don't believe I've seen him with a cigarette nor have I smelled butts burning in the vicinity of his office. Maybe he quit.

For a while there was a small nest of determined smokers three doors down from my office, and they were quite annoying because as soon as 6:00 p.m. rolled around several of them would get together in one room and smoke, smoke, smoke. But our firm has expanded its space and we've quarantined them to overflow space in another building.

One advantage to hiring women attorneys is they are less likely to be smokers.

Are they still pulling blue boxes out of Kim and Chang’s?

Come again?

It saddens me that these things still happen in the most advanced nation in the world, and not as a put down to America, but of how much worse it can be in less civilized nations.

Much worse in Iran, a country where young men are hanged in public after quickie convictions based on coerced confessions and unreliable witnesses. Actually, hanging is not the correct term, for a proper hanging breaks the neck and results in an almost immediate death. Iran strangles its condemned by hoisting them from cranes.

#47. B.C., I have used several law offices in town and HMP has out-shined them all. Are they still pulling blue boxes out of Kim and Chang's?

Had to share this:

I'm writing a brochure for Kolon Engineering & Construction. It seems one of their apt complexes is called 이데아폴리스, which I guess I'll transliterate as Ideapolis. But don't you think it rolls off the tongue better as Idiopolis?
