Known as 元宵 in the Chinese world, the last days of the traditional Chinese New Year festivities. I was invited yesterday in KL by a [Chinese] client to participate to the 十五瞑 Chap Goh Mei festivities, and while I didn't see any moon, I did catch quite a feast anyway...

We did the yeesang thingy, which is kinda fun -- and tastes great too. There was a lot more food too -- Chinese being Chinese, one great part of the culture... -- along with drinking and singing. How did they do before Karaoke was invented anyway?

We won't see it either, thanks to heavily overcast skies from a winter storm. I wish I could get some of that special Daeborum ogokbap with veggies.

But this Full Moon eclipse will not I fear be visible from Korea - as it takes place late afternoon (I think), at which time the Full Moon will not have risen.
