“Ignorance is Bliss” could be another good NK slogan. BTW, big election taking place now in the Potomac primaries. Hillary sure does like to avoid confronting unpleasant realities. Obama’s 5 consecutive wins she said, were due only to black voters in Louisiana and undemocratic caucus procedures which favored the interests of ‘activists.’ Why can’t she just concede that her people need to do a better job of spreading her message or acknowledge something positive about Obama. It’s similar to her unwillingness to admit a mistake in supporting the initial invasion of Iraq, which she later opposed. Denying reality doesn’t change it.
Clinton dismisses caucuses as ‘undemocratic,’ but actually they do appear to have a democratic function - rewarding the intensity with which individuals hold preferences, not just tallying up the number of votes. People have to commit several hours to participate in a caucus, so only people with deeply held views are usually willing to pay the price - evidently, mostly Obama and Paul supporters. Intensity of belief should count for something, maybe Clinton should try to find out why her constituents won’t spend the time to support her.
