I am now happy with the prostitution laws after this story pushes my mirth level past the needed quota.

“She said she turned to prostitution to pay for her children’s educational expenses, such as school fees.”
Another side effect of the evils of the hagwon system. Down with the hagwon!
By the way, sleeping with 2 to 3 Johns a day, 960 a year to pay for education? Last time I checked tuition fees weren’t that much.
boshintang:
Rule number 1 of journalism: Prostitution must always be presented as something that women are forced into, either by evil men or by desperate financial circumstances.
Yes, tuition ain’t that expensive!
Alejandro is right.
I’m sure there was a Prada bag or 2 laying around her apartment!
However, the real Rule Number One in Korean journalism is:
-Always target an easy non-Korean scapegoat.
Number 2:
-Whipping up nationalistic frenzy sells, so keep it up!
#4, English education isn’t the only subject Koreans spend inordinate amounts of money on.
Some of the kyopos here are too quick to head toward “I blame Japan” rhetoric, but their parallel is the hasty whinging of some English teachers’ cry that “they’re picking on us non-Korean English teachers again!”
I am suprised she did not set up the tutoring-for-sex deals I hear about on occasion.
Anyway, curious as to how much she was charging!
If she charged 100,000 Won, that would end up being 96 million.
Quite a haul, but she spent a lot of time on her back for it!
If she was providing “short time” sessions, then she would have charged each of her male customers 60,000 KRW. However if she was providing “long time” sessions(highly unlikely, considering the alleged number of customers), then yeah it is possible that she could have charged up to 150,000 KRW.
Depends on how hot she is and what kind of “service” she offered, I guess.
How much does a “rusty trombone” go for these days?
or a “hot Karl” Cleveland style?
#6 “I am suprised she did not set up the tutoring-for-sex deals I hear about on occasion.”
Yes, I’ve also “heard” about similar deals in my seven years here
Well, no, tuition is “that” expensive, but considering her age I don’t think she could charge very much to begin with, so it all evens out….
10/11
I’m not sure, but an Angry Dragon costs 100 while a Dirty Sanchez is 180
p.s. I blame foreigners, with their huge…pockets
