Well, It’s Probably More Effective than US$18 Billion to Iraq

Osaka has a new governor, 38-year-old Toru Hashimoto, a young man who can apparently think outside the box about foreign aid:

The young governor, though, has one characteristic important to politicians: the ability to turn a phrase. Among his gems is the opining that Japanese men who hire Chinese prostitutes are “providing a kind of Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) to China.”

Not quite as practical as some of the pearls of wisdom dropped from the lips of our incoming head of state, but clever none the less.

I’ve had MANY massages in Thailand, and NONE of them involved sex.

People jump the gun too often me thinks.

I too use a lot of Thai massage for my sore back (no i’m not talking about the illegal acts). Does that mean I endorse prostitution?
