My friend, an excellent soccer player who chose not to pursue a professional career due to a knee injury, told me he had a similar experience playing soccer in Korea.  Five or six players would surround him, kicking wildly as if to injure him, whenever he got the ball.  They'd drop like flies whenever they failed to get the ball from him.  He didn't bother playing much after that.</description>
