From a crap car that no one liked to the Sonata and now the Genesis. If this car is anything like I think it is, I am gonna get one and not look back. M-B luxe at an affordable price? No brainer here. Kudos to the folks at Hyundai.

The difference between Hyundai and Toyota, Nissan and Honda is that each of the latter three started a new sales channel (Lexus, Infiniti and Acura) to cater to the luxury buyer, Nerad said.
Is there any chance Hyundai is planning to eventually spin off the 'Genesis brand' as a high-end make like Lexus or Infiniti once it has achieved a few years of positive attention and name-brand recognition?

“Can someone explain to me how an engineer chained to his desk in Ulsan can create a better Buick than a team of guys in Detroit?” Rechtin wrote.

I was confused by this sentence for a moment. The guy actually wrote it as if a Buick was a great car.

Yay for Hyundai! (I work for them so my support is 100%! :) Notwithstanding, I do like the Genesis' design, inside and out. If I had the dough I'd certainly buy one of these ladies.

Now, if only I can drive them as fast as I could on a public racetrack (note: not the highway)....

That would never happen.

Intel and Samsung make totally different chips. Intel bailed out of the RAM business sometime in like the 80s, only to become wildy successful in the processor market. In the mean time, Samsung siezed the memory sector.

They're #1, #2 in semiconductor company ranking by sales.
