I wonder how Djamilya’s English is.
#2: yeah, i was looking at her photos (um, i thought a “photo spread” constituted more than just 2 photos), it occurred to me how much prettier she is when i don’t have to listen to her speak in her mutilated korean.
#3: i’ve agonised over the same thing, but have (without any supporting evidence) concluded that she speaks english just as badly as she does korean.
of course, she may just be a linguistic genius playing the “dumb girl” routine in order to cash in on her celebrity here as a airheaded hottie, idolised and fawned over by a cadre of panting men (korean and non-korean alike).
If she ain’t really a “dumb girl” she’s a great actress. If you showed that video clip to someone unfamiliar with Asian pop culture they would assume she was retarded.
