I believe it got folded into the Ministry of Health, Welfare, Gender Equality and Family.

4 Sonagi January 21, 2008 at 1:31 pm: The word “education” was dropped from the name of the new ministry, as its authority over the academic administration of elementary, secondary and tertiary schools is to be delegated to provincial governments and the private sector.

If only our government would do the same.
