# 69 "like expats on this blog equating themselves to South Asian workers in Korea."

Here is how it's alike...We are slaves to the employee for 1 year, we are NOT free to work anywhere else in Korea without the permission of that employee. AND, we must deal with the same worthless/racist governmental ministries that they do. Working in Korea on 1 year contracts as an E-2 Visa holder entails...

1st contract, Korean employer broke it after 3 months. 2nd, Korean employer illegally fired me in the 11th month, 3rd contract, I finished but the company closed. They supposedly filed my taxes(the company gave me a 639,000 Won return)but the tax office has no record of it. 4th contract, I finished but the company was ‘in on it’(helped me get a job at the same time) with the after-school programs(5th contract) who are notorious for tax evasion(among other things I’m sure). The after-school programs(Hagwons) are operated by Public Elementary Schools(PES). The PES claims E-2 Visa holders are not ‘employees’ even though Immigration doesn’t allow E-2 Visa holders to be anything other than an employee/worker and the contract states clearly “Mr. tbontylr is an employee.”

The tax office won’t enforce the tax law(which states that employers must file employees taxes) on the PES. The Tax Ministry says..."You must go to court to find a solution to your tax problem”(needless to say I’m going to court again). Immigration won’t do anything either, they allow the public schools to employ E-2 Visa holders illegally. I’ve been here 4+ years and only one company for half of one year, reported my taxes to the tax office. Korea… “SPARKLING!"

I think I deserve a FREE bag of dope to do with whatever I want, including smoking it in front of all the Korean people on T.V.

#125,

1) I was joking. Of course I know there are Mc Donald's in India. I mean, the American media seems terribly proud of this. They still write about it as if the first one just opened last week.

2) I wouldn't know.

3) You wrote, "It's 3 am" when it was 7am in Korea, get it?

# 124...

A couple of things:

1) There are several hundred McDonalds in India (www.mcdonaldsindia.com) so the problem is not in finding a Big Mac, but finding one that has beef in it. Indians call their Big Mac the Maharaja Mac and it's got chicken in it.

2) Hasish is illegal on paper, but due to it's important function in some Hindu religious ceremonies, the authorities don't enforce it.

3) I'm not in India, but I hear it's a cannabist's heaven due to the errrr... perfect weather conditions and the quality of the native strains (something about the higher concentration of cannabinoids). Also the fact that use of cannabis is more widely tolerated in that society.

Wow... I'm comment 122!

What are we talking about? Korean Americans? Immigration? Truman being a pussy? Part-time horticulturalists?

I don't know, feeling a little tired and giddy... Whoa, why are my hands so big and why can't I feel them? It's 3am here and I want a Big Mac...

Men who are smokers are also 7 times more likely to develop Peyronie's disease.
