Some 40 people are dead following an explosion and fire at a cold storage warehouse in Icheon. The dead reportedly included a large number of ethnic Koreans from China. Terrible tragedy.

Saw it on the news last night. It’s really sad.
I don’t know why this wasn’t in French news, but I saw it on CNN. I wonder if the 13 foreign workers were legal, or if certain safety measures were ignored.
Note how this time the foreigners are being referred to as 중국 동포 and not as 외국인.
Just like I predicted:
“They must have either ignored security regulations, or failed to receive basic security lessons,” said Kim Sang-Bong, fire service chief in the nearby city of Gwangju.
Still don’t know why this wasn’t in the French news.

Better things to report maybe? Do they even know/care where Icheon is?
Besides, it was on TV 5.
But who in France watches TV5 for news?
And why do you have a French flag when you’re living in Hong Kong?
That’s the second fire within a few months in the Icheon area. The last one at a CJ warehouse took a couple of lives as well.
It is broadcast in France on and off, in alternance with ARTE. I remember watching it when I missed the news, because TV5 broadcasts the France 2 news an hour later or so. But yeah, not the most watched channel.
Something I have commented upon a few times. And I can repeat it again: I can see Chek Lap Kok from my window. I am a PCCW subscriber. So someone’s database of IP addresses is skewed. Or screwed.
