A little bit of slightly good news for Xmas Eve — Feuding Korean clans end 400-year fight over graves – this is resulting from Korea’s longstanding Pungsu-jiriseol beliefs… other relevant links are at the bottom of that page.

A 400-year grudge; that’s a great story. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Years ago I became acquainted w/ a kindly gentleman with the surname Jun. In our conversation I mentioned my wife’s surname and he inquired about ancestral hometown.
“My family hates your wife’s family!” he exclaimed, and he gave me an account of wrongs done centuries ago.
Glad to see the Shims and the Yoons have gotten over it. For now?
Well, I wouldn’t say they’ve been feuding for 400 years. It took 150 for the offended side to retaliate.
Good news for Christmas!!
#2: well, you’re only looking at the Official Record… which doesn’t include that for 150 years they were sneaking over and spitting in the other’s kimchi jars…
