Are they moving into the basement space vacated by the BRIT DYI store for which Korea was, like many other foreign brands that had the temerity to try to operate here under their own aegis, a graveyard?
Anybody want to make book? Or is it really basically a sort of Korean run franchise or licensee?
It is in the lower level. Apparently they have teamed up with Lotte so I would bet that Toys-R-us are here to stay.
I checked it out and it is *so* much better than anything else around here except for the model kit store at Coex.
Are you guessing on the TRU Lotte tie-up, or is it a fact? One could have imagined from the location that so did the Brit DIY outfit, B&G, but they apparently tried to float their boat on its own bottom and ended up on the bottom of the Han. I predict the same for TRU unless they have decided to bend-over for Lotte, in which case it’s the Korean consumer who will get screwed with prices at least double the world market’s.
You should try the one in Hongdae. More choices than Coex and cheaper prices to boot.
Cool.
All I know about Toy-R-Us and Lotte is what I read.
