Asian women, regardless of country, are big players when it comes to money (most Asian families I know, the wives control the bank account) and putting on a show (ie. being powerless and male dominated). If I got 5 cents for every couple where the wife was a quiet and agreeing in public but a slipper slapping, husband-beating matriarch at home, I'd well, be able to buy out Marmot's Hole and have a picture of my hairy butt as the logo. Hmm, now that I think about it, my wife, too, also was asking for my access code before I was married so that I "wouldn't have to bother myself" with the messy numbers and she could handle all the payments and paperwork easily, but I simply figured at the time that it was 'cause she was a finance grad.
