Yours truly is on-assignment in Byeonsan Bando National Park for the December issue of SEOUL.
The photo-taking was pretty good today — as usual, I’m reserving the best for the magazine, but as a bit of a preview (and because I like posting pretty pictures on my blog), here are a couple shots for your viewing pleasure.
As always, you can check out those photos in all their 1,200px glory via the Flickr slideshow.
Oh, and a note about the photos… or at least the software I used on them. The GIMP team has released the latest version of their open-source photo editor. And it’s pretty nifty, especially if you’re in a PC room far from home (and Photoshop). Give it a try — you’ll like it.

Award winning, especially the first, third and last. I could care less for the flowers.
As usual, great photos. What kind of editing did you do on th ephotos?
Great work. Thank you for sharing your photos.
For these, I did a white balance, followed by a color enhance and finished with am unsharpen mask.
You know, one could download your great shots and make postcards of them. Though it would be a bit more than what one gets in Insadong, your pictures make a difference. (Robert, check out moo.com)
Fantastic as always……
Good tip - Gimp, thanks.
November 12th, foliage has peaked, and I think all the mosquitoes
are dead now, finally.
Awesome stuff. Wish I could take pics as good as you.
IC. Thanks for the info.
