Quote of the week, by Matt Smith, GM of the second Hooters restaurant in Seoul: “We enjoy having families at the restaurant, and Hooters girls love to play with children. We have a kids’ menu too.”
Good Family Fun!

I can believe that. I think 3 or 4 years ago I had to do some work with some guys in Biloxi MS, but ended up staying in the near by city of Gulfport. On a Sunday, we went to Hooters in Gulfport and ordered 2 pitchers of beer. A group of 8 finished those pitchers in no time where we ordered a second set of pitchers When ordering they basically “86’ed” us and said that was the last order. When asking what the reason was, the manager came out and said that it was the Lord’s day and we don’t serve a lot of alcohol on that day. He then went on to say that Hooters is a family establishment… blah blah blah…
The funny thing is that there was a group of kids running around, I guess the parents decided to come there after a little league game. Man we thought that the fathers were getting away with murder drooling at the women, while the mothers were eating, talking and looking after the kids. Go figure… so after our second set, we haul ass out of there… Family establishment my ass, with all of those girls and posters… But hey that is how they market it and I guess it works.
I took a girl to Hooters once because we both wanted to eat a lot of chicken wings… the waitress seemed disapointed because she knew she’d get a smaller tip…
Is there tipping of waitresses in the Seoul Hooters…?
the third one has a rather nice pair…of earrings. ahem
