Well, this you don’t see everyday — the Seoul Office of Education is worried that there aren’t enough male teachers in Korean classrooms, and is looking to impose a quota for male teachers in Seoul-area schools.
The Ministry of Education hasn’t been too keen on this — it rejected a quota proposal from Seoul earlier this year, citing insufficient evidence that the gender imbalance had a negative effect on students.
Seoul is now trying to gather evidence that the lack of male teachers is having a negative impact on students:
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (SMOE) Wednesday announced that it has launched a special team to study the negative influence of female teachers’ domination at schools.
Some might suggest the team start their studies here.

“…is looking to impose a quote for male teachers in Seoul-area schools….”
correction, you meant to say “quota” (as properly used later).
I find there’s something about proofreading that makes it hard to see your own typos, yet they immediately stand out to others. For this reason I again thank you for the “preview function”, as it enables me to cut down on my own error rate (though one still manages to get through occasionally).
