Cas Haley has become an instant Internet star, and has a webpage up at http://www.cashaley.com(.) His site is full of music playing in the background on a Flash player. Good for him — I know I’ll be looking for his stuff on iTunes.
He’s not that great… Hes good no doubt, better than 80% of the crap on the radio right now, but these guys are still over rating him. I can tell he likes Bob Marley…
Sure, you can tell this kid likes reggae — so what? The story on him is the surprise of discovering a real talent through that show. That “Wow!” reaction shot on Hasselhoff was priceless. Everybody in America likes an underdog. Cas Haley is a sweet kid taking care of his young family by belting out those songs with his surprisingly strong voice and showmanship that belies his fat-dork appearance. He’ll get my ten bucks once his album is put together, that’s for sure.
