Here's a funny but true story.

Ten years ago, in the summer of 1997, I was in Japan on a visa run. I was standing in the middle of a crowded bridge in Osaka (the famous one where a lot of people hang out) minding my own business. I pulled out a smoke and before I could locate my lighter, this guy walks up to me and offers me a light. I knew he was Korean, took the light while he engaged me in the usual conversation that Koreans are so famous for. After a few minutes, and as I was about to finish my smoke, I told him that every time I've come to Japan, I somehow met a Korean. Once it was a group of university students (3 guys and 2 girls), and another time a group of people on tour...and this time I met him. Harmless stuff right? So I get back to Korea, a few weeks later my girlfriend (now my wife of 9 years) calls me and tells me I was on a famous Korean TV show that was produced by Park Chul. It was him on the bridge, but even though you can clearly hear me saying the correct words, he added compeletly different subtitles making me say "Everytime I come to Japan, I want to find a Korean boyfriend" They were secretly taping me from a distance of 500 meters (0r so..)

The name of the show (I think) was called "Lets make fun of other peoples culture" - so I told my boss (I worked for a Korean company called Halla Heavy Industries at the time) and he contacted a lawyer. I went to see the lawyer, we filed a suit and settled out of court for just under 10 million won. And no, he never apologized for what he did. That's why I'm so fucking happy that his wife did a foreigner, he deserved it for what he did to me.

That's my Park Chul story.

Pawi should be banned for his crimes against capitalization. He's never met a "Shift" key that he likes.

wang-goo, why would marmot ban me? i'm just following the flow of traffic. i suggest you keep yourself busy by showing us just how gawd damn smart you are. that's your specialty and you should stick to it.

as for you, sonagi, i suggest you learn how to stand up for yourself while you're standing in line at the 711. ok? btw, you really made a fool of yourself when you accused wjk of lying about becoming a doctor. it showed your ignorance.

Just to be a total ass:

Pawi, are you, in fact a naturalized or natural born citizen of the United States, or are you an expat living there. At any point have you or members of your family been expats in another country? If so, whilst living as an expat, did you or your family "like little children?"

I'm not so sure the solution is more surgery.

Try less makeup + less surgery - stealing airline stewardess wardrobe and most importantly less camera.

@#28:

Our words are a reflection of ourselves. That's why Pawi never manages to offend with his predictably lowball anti-expat insults.

Oh heavens...she needs less make-up and more surgery.

pawi...they said the foreigner was a cook, not an English teacher. As far as cook stereotypes go, you'll have to wait out on that...
