Baekdu-daegan Expedition Buseok-sa Special Temple-Stay Event this Saturday

This weekend, daytime Saturday through early Sunday morning, the 2007 Baekdu-daegan Expedition Hikers (now on the heights of Sobaek-san National Park) will descend to Buseok-sa (one of Korea’s greatest temples, an architectural masterpiece) to enjoy its special Temple-Stay program along with local officials, international supporters and Korean well-wishers.  There will be some coverage by MBC-TV and other media, with the intention of publicizing this expedition and promoting the Temple-Stay offerings.  We will probably also visit Sosu Seowon and the Seonbi-chon Village in Punggi Town, to add some of Korea’s best Neo-Confucian heritage to the Expedition sites.

Anybody is welcome to join this event, show us your support — the Temple-Stay program and its associated meals / sleeping are free for all, but you’ll have to pay your own expenses otherwise, including arranging your own round-trip transportation from/back-to wherever you are (advice can be given). Activities begin at 11 am Saturday, so those in Seoul would have to leave pretty early in the morning to make the three-hour journey. If you are interested in doing this post here, or e-mail me at mntnwolf AT yahoo dot com. Should be fun and interesting…

Fresh air, clean water, and good people in a beautiful environment are my 3 most favorite things. Amongst all things, as we are.
