These things are relative. Saipan only has someting like 60,000 people and half of those are migrant workers.

I certainly would not claim that the B-boys have replaced Spam in the hearts of the of people of Saipan (it being one of the few places where McDonalds has spam on the menu).

Back in 2003 all the news was about how hot the Korean Wave was and how it was taking over the world. It’s certainly died down some. I guess we just have to be content with taking over small south Pacific islands…
