The US presidential election in Korea is now

For folks who might be interested, there is a Ron Paul Meetup group in Seoul.  Their next meeting is this Friday.

As far as I know, it is the first candidate support group to be organized among American expats in Korea.

Well, yeah. I took that as a given. I guess I shouldn’t have.

I wonder if this blog post will go down the road where political blogs go as soon as “Ron Paul” is mentioned. If not, then the blogosphere is as separated from the rest of the world as everything else is here.

Mrs Clinton would kick the crap out of Mr Paul in every way imaginable.

^^;; at the point where the sign “Ron Paul Revolution” is hung on the rental fences that ASU uses to keep people out of the dorm construction sites… I still won’t be supporting him. Some of his stances seem… almost like a satire to me.

As it looks now, Hilary Clinton has a really good shot… but as the Economist points out (despite the article saying she has a really good shot), so did Howard Dean.

Go Ron! To quote Stephen Colbert, he’s “An enigma, wrapped in a riddle, nestled in a sesame seed bun of mystery.”

Finally, someone that wants to get rid of the IRS!

Here’s a thought. If we pulled our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, couldn’t we use them to protect our borders and points of entry? I think it would be cheaper.

Amnesty for illegal immigrants? Why? Should we reward bad behavior? The legal immigrants that put in the hard work and time to become a US citizen should be pissed. This is their introduction to our society? Sad, isn’t it?

Anyway I could go on and on about Ron. But why don’t you guys check him out at http://www.ronpaul2008.com/

Here’s a cool video with Stephen Colbert, you know, the guy that messed with Rain.

The only one among the whole bunch of presidential candidates who actually tells the truth.

Illegal immigrants? You obviously didn’t get the memo. They’re “undocumented Americans.”

These Paulistas aren’t expecting a huge turnout if the venue is that taco shack on Banporo. But, I guess it’s better psychologically to fill up a small joint than to hear your echo in a large place.

That is just smart politics. Every event site should be smaller than the expected crowd. If not, get the divider curtains out.

Also, a taco meeting sounds pretty good.

Hey wow… Maybe if RuPaul gets the expat vote, he’ll actually break 5% in the polls. ;)

So we shouldn’t try to get out of the two party rut to the shithouse we’ve been in for 200 or so years? I say eliminate the parties all together and run on the merit of your ideas alone.
