So, it’s gibberish to say “Oh, I admit bla bla… “, and write “She admits her thesis wrongdoing”. Of course, I know wordplay ‘admit’.

Can someone maybe explain this to me — Isn’t letting someone else write your thesis sorta kinda like plagiarism anyhow? I mean, you might hire a ghost writer to tighten up the grammar and help check citations or whatever, but if you’re actually not involved in the process enough to actually notice that your thesis isn’t actually based on your own thoughts and research, then what would make you think that you had any right claiming the degree that resulted?

Somehow, there must be something more going on here. After all, it strains credibility to believe that Ms. Shin could have effectively lied her way to the top if this is the sort of fish tale she tells when she’s really exerting herself.

And Maddlew, it is (as suggested here already) that she is trying to shift blame for the thesis to dirty foreigners another party.

Not being enrolled is also the blaming currently being tossed out— the idea that she only went to a “tutor” to consult/coordinate her thesis is retarded by our standards, but I would imagine seems pretty plausible to a lot of Koreans.
