Ransom and Rape Allegations

Korea paid a ransom via a third country? Meanwhile, one blogger blogging from Kabul writes that four of the female hostages may have been raped while in captivity. Hard to know what to believe any more…

It’s so sad, but not surprising. Really, what can you say? But surely we’ve had enough of the machismo… “Send in the SF and fuck them up” kind of crap, right guys?

As for veracity, the blogger from Kabul has interesting credentials.

Huh? If Roh were hung better than a hamster and sent in troops to fuck them up in the fist-place, we would not be reading about Pakistani rapists bumping pee pees with Korean teenagers.

Could it be Libya was the third-party? They do a great job of it. Just ask Abu Sayyaf after Khadafy passed on $24 million for the Euro hostages snatched at Sipadan back in 2000.

The google ads for this story are hilarious. First an ad for romantic love, then an ad for kidnapping, and finally an ad for divorce. Quite the life story you have planned out there for me google!

    mjw,
“Send in the SF” certainly beats “send in the cultural sensitivity tainers.”

How about this for a change: “Use Daisy Cutters; lots and lots of Daisy Cutters.”

BTW, I don’t care how macho the Special Ops folks are.

    Shouldn’t that be:

“carpet-bomb them ahead into the stone age”?

#7 - Don’t worry, the Soviets already did that for us back in the 80s.

Well, the first story seems to have as a source a Blue House spin doctor who’s trying to position Bush as a scapegoat for the Korean government paying a ransom.

I find the rape allegations credible. The Taliban must surely be aware of the passage that reads “All married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess.”

Been studying the Koran a bit and some of what I’ve read I certainly don’t like. Rape of course is not allowed, however there is a loophole, you can engage in a “short term” marriage. I don’t remember the exact period, something like 24 hours to 3 days. During this time the woman belongs to you and you can do whatever you want. After the 3 days or whatever is up the marriage is over. This way there is technically no rape.
You have to ask yourself what kind of “Prophet” marries a 9 year old then consumates the marriage, and has loopholes in his scriptures in order to sanction rape.
Anyway given the Taliban I would have thought it was more likely the men were raped.

#16 You are speculating these thugs actually follow the Koran. They are not on a Jihad to serve Allah; they are a bunch of dead-enders who use Jihad as a cover for their commerce. They take what they want and the business-end of their AK-47’s is their office. They would rape whomever they want whenever, and wherever they can get away with it. These neighborhood bullies have no integrity, think about it!

In Iran “short term” marriages (lasting for an hour or so) are a widely accepted part of social life - and effectively just another word for prostitution. As particularly handy does the fact come in that men can also take short term 2nd, 3rd or 4th wives. Thus, being married is not really an obstacle to “short-term-wifery”.

two things come to mind …

    1) all of them (i think)

    2) that’s my kind of “Prophet”—more about the here and now and less about that after you die it’s all rosy bullshit that makes up most religions
