2007 Baekdu-daegan Expedition Launching Postponed

Update: Heavy rains have retreated, so we’re going today after all — sudden reversal of the postponment!   So the Baekdu-daegan Expedition Opening Ceremony / Media-Event is at 10am today (Sunday) – we’ll see who shows up.  4 hours of driving, here we go…     Original:  Damn — the Yong-wang has let me down despite my missionary proselytizing on his behalf!  If anybody wants to come there to Jiri-san Beobgye-sa-ipgu (Gyeongsang-namdo Sancheong-gun, Shicheon-myeon, Jungsan-ri parking lot) at this revised time, just let me know.

    You’re praying to the wrong god, Sanshinseon, but nevertheless I’m sorry to hear y’all won’t be able to start on the 2nd as planned. I look forward to reading about the kick-off ceremony as soon as it takes place.

    I’m back home! It went very well, despite fog & drizzle. The guys are climbing Cheonhwang-bong as i type — hopefully above the clouds by now. Photos, description & schedule of the MBC-TV broadcast will be up as soon as i can swing it…
