DJ certainly has a pair

If nothing else, former president Kim Dae-jung still has some chutzpah (Korea Times):

Former President Kim Dae-jung urged President Roh Moo-hyun to apologize for having approved a probe into allegations his 2000 inter-Korean summit was bought, lawmakers from the pro-governing camp said Thursday.

I’m not going to say that DJ is a crook, but the man got caught in a scheme to illegally give $500,000,000 to Kim Jong-il and his crew.  To turn around and demand that he receive an apology for getting caught certainly takes a pair.

I hate to admit it, but I kind of admire him for it.

I especially enjoyed the “discovery” of his youngest son’s million dollar home in Rolling Hills or Palos Verdes, CA a few years ago. While earning something like a $20 000/year salary/stipend as an assistant at a college. Wonder how he managed that?

This is why I pray that the GNP will take control of the Blue House for next five years, during which the administration can freely choose to investigate all the dirty works of KDJ, whom the left revere/fear too much.

“…the man got caught in a scheme to illegally give $500,000,000 to Kim Jong-il and his crew…”

Did the money in fact get transferred? I’ve assumed that the transaction was only discovered long after it happened but your choice of phrase could be read otherwise.

Aren’t the vast majority of politicians everywhere crooks? It looks worse here because of the culture of paying for someone’s good graces at all levels of society. It’ll get worse before it gets better.

I think it’s just a way of saying that giving million of dollars of our taxes to North Korea just a few weeks before the original scheduled date of the summit makes Roh an hypocrite.

The arrogant tough guy ajoshi behaviour here is endemic.
The AA (Arrogant Ajoshi), drives the wrong way down a one way street, and expects YOU to get out of his way.
The AA driving on the pavement and expects the wheelchair bound cripple to get out of the way.
These guys need to be brought down a notch or two.
Throw one of these clowns in prison, and they cry like babies.
