UCC Meets ROK in Iraq

Spotted this heart-warmer over at Pandora TV (which, for some odd reason, I can’t seem to embed) — a Kurdish schoolgirl sends a “thank you” video to departing Korean troops in Iraq. In Korean, no less.

Well… She’s clearly reading from a script, but she seems sincere.

It is still a lovely thought. Perhaps the Kurds will manage their affairs better than their fellow Sunnis and Shiites, that is if they are left alone.

Given the amount of schmalt, I would guess this produced by a Korean Christian group trying real hard to do some damage control (the candle at the end pretty much gave it away).

    # 3,

If you can get other muslims to say great things about you, more power to yah. Although I don’t think the standard Arab impression of the typical Kurd is all that high anyways.
