    Some of this has been covered in an earlier thread. Questions of pride and vanity aside, who is going to invest in these skyscrapers? On reclaimed land you would need to install piles at least 35 metres into the ground from the basement, at signifcant cost. Moreover, building such tall buildings in an area that is yet to be developed is ambitious at best, foodhardy otherwise. Who would be the tenants? Where is the infrastructure? Incheon does not have the finances to help support such twin towers. Portman, the developer who pitched this project has never done such a project in Korea and I doubt such a venture can find the proper project financing locally or otherwise.

    It kills me to see reports like this that don’t ask the obvious questions. And don’t get me started on poor local architecture…
