LA Weekly digs ‘Secret Sunshine’

LA Weekly’s Scott Foundas really liked Lee Chang-dong’s new flick, “Secret Sunshine.” I got to attend a preview screening last week, and I have to say, the film really is worth watching.

    Thanks for the link. Darcy over at koreanfilm.org predicted months ago that Jeon Do-yeon would win best actress at Cannes for her role in this. I’m sure for most who’ve seen her, another amazing performance will be of little surprise, considering Jeon’s abilities, but she really wow those who’ve never heard of her before.

    Oh, and this was a much better review than the one over at the Chosun Ilbo, where the writer thought “review” meant “give away all the most important plot twists in two sentences.” Asshole.
