Besides, given that lambs grow quickly, it's likely that the lambs sold would be newborns for the hoax to work. Even if the buyers were clueless about animals, I would guess that they would have realized pretty quickly what animal they had bought once it started to get hungry, bleat, and refuse to eat kibble.
