I just got this in the email: Friday, April 18, is Hokie Day. People wishing to express support and sympathy for those in mourning are asked to wear maroon and gold, the school colors. If you haven’t gotten dressed yet today (it’s Friday in Korea) and you’re reading this, wear your maroon and gold.

How about instead of wearing school colors people try making a real difference by lobbying for stronger gun control laws?
Frankly, I’m fed up with all these entirely superficial and meaningless shows of solidarity and support that are easy to participate in but have little lasting value.
