More fun for politically active American expats

-For anyone who might be interested, Republicans Abroad-Korea will be meeting this Sunday afternoon.  Click here for details.

-For Democrats Abroad-Korea, you can check out their blog.  I am sure they will have something up soon.

-If you want something other than Republican and can’t wait for the DAK reactivate, Libertarians Abroad-Korea will get together on on May 11.

BTW and before anyone asks, RAK and DAK are both strictly for organizing Americans for American politics.  Any party-to-party activities would be handled through the respective national chairs or organizations such as the International Democratic Union.

BTW, are there any ~ Abroad political groups in Korea from other countries?

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I tried to get involved with the organization and was one of the two writers of the blog. I think DA-Korea is pretty much dead in the water and, oddly, they seem perfectly contented with that fate. Trying to get involved with them is like playing tennis by yourself. Nobody hits the ball back. Oh well, I never liked pigeon-holing myself anyway.

I think someone named Nora Park used to head the DA group, which was active for awhile. But she apparently vanished into thin air sometime last year and the group’s been moribund since then.

The head of the DA in Korea was “killed”.

Robert, I attended DA events — at the time they were active. Now, they’re not.

If what I wrote was inaccurate, please give us an update.

Yeah, a Google search a few months back revealed an interesting history… Myself and another person wanted to get things going again, but… well… it seemed like something was working against us even though we had the blessing of the regional organization. Anyway, if they don’t want my help, I’ll take my talents elsewhere. But I won’t forget.

You’ve been warned, Dogbertt. I don’t want that issue raised here.
