FTA imminent: reports

It looks like an “FTA” deal between Korea and the United States might be imminent [Yonhap News, English]… if you can call what is being described as a “low-level” deal [Yonhap News, Korean] a free-trade agreement.

    I can not recall if they have not done this before but the Chosun Ilbo has finally linked North Korea to anti-FTA activities (N.Korea Calls for Struggle Against FTA). Naturally, the list of anti-FTA elements reads like a “whos-who” of NK agents.

    It is clearly part of the ongoing strategy to isolate South Korea so as to gain influence here.
