On behalf of all the unpaid staff here at the Marmot’s Hole, I want to give a big welcome to the 5,500 sailors and marines aboard the USS Ronald Reagan who arrive in Busan today.

I guess old Reagan is just full of seamen right now . . . it is better than what he was full of during his tenure in office.
I’m kind of jealous that you guys get the newest carrier. (Mostly because if it were at Yokosuka, I might be able to take a tour. Politics aside, it’s supposed to be an impressive ship.)

One of the wittest quotes I’ve seen on any blog. LOL!

At least he didn’t get any on her dress
R Elgin - you are so right on!!! Too bad that no matter what Reagan was full of he was better than any of your favorite presidents - Eleanor Roosevelt, Hilary, Daniel Ortega, etc.
Time to go back to your English class. Catch you at the Daily Kos.
So…when is the almighty America gonna have a carrier named the “Hillary Rodham Clinton”?
Most likely never, as i don’t think she can win this time.
Anyway, WELCOME to the sailors, and “beware of the soju, it’s not really as friendly as it looks & tastes!”… same goes for the agashis…
A hearty shout out to the sailors and all the soldiers protecting all of us here in South Korea. I hope I speak for all when I say that we appreciate that these guys are putting their lives on the line to protect us. Cheers. I hope they enjoy the beer, soju and girls.
Netizen Kim,
If you believe John Birmingham the USS Hillary Clinton, a George Bush class supercarrier named for the “the most uncompromising wartime president in the history of the United States,” will be built in about a decade.

Oh, I took SEAMEN for SEMEN.
Well, each seamen may be full of semen to be ejaculated.
You know Korean seamen were blasted for buying children’s sex in south pacific islands.
Too bad it’s not the Harry S Truman making the port call. I see from the wikipedia article that she’s normally deployed with the Atlantic fleet.

If the Truman were to make a port call in Inchon, there would probably be a large and continuous electrical discharge ongoing between it and the MacArthur statue. Ideally, the pro-North anti-statue demonstrators would get caught in the arc and have their eyebrows scorched off.

Best oneliner I’ve heard (read) in a long time.
:)
PS. There was a book written about 10 years ago which claims that Nancy was well known in Hollywood for being the most skilled at ‘talking’ seamen out movie producer’s ‘offices’.

My only hope is that the sailors and marines of the USS Ronald Reagan take back Texas Street from the Russians, if only for a few days…
Thar she blows!
