As a follow-up to my earlier posting regarding the precarious legality of North Koreans divorcing their spouses, who are still stuck in North Korea, the Seoul Family Court has been empowered to handle such cases, thanks to a bill that is now in effect.
Apparently such a divorce can be handled through the Ministry of Unification, so as to verify that their spouses do not live in South Korea.
There are two hundred, twenty-two divorce cases that are currently pending in family court.
