Harisu wedding set for May 19

Transgender singer Harisu is getting hitched in May to some rapper dude living in Busan—I think the photos say it all.

    Well…to quite the band Blur:

    “Girls who are boys
Who like boys to be girls
Who do boys like they’re girls
Who do girls like they’re boys
Always should be someone you really love”

I am proud of the fact a transgender individual in Korea would find love, acceptance, and be able to wed in general civil society. This is the cutting edge of tolerance.

Korean society is tolerant?.This is more of an aberration. It used to be a male.Every time I see it on TV,it’s acting like a gay man.Any other male that gets intimate with it is gay.The thin disguise doesn’t change the DNA.I’m no expert on the reconstruction thing, but I don’t beleive you can make an outie into an innie with any degree of realism. If they want to be in a relationship, fine.Just don’t try to bullshit it up.

” This is the cutting edge of tolerance.”

Right, as if the transgenders who aren’t celebrities are fully accepted by Korean society.

It’s not cutting edge, by the way. Many countries allow transgenders to change their birth certificates. South Korea has only allowed them since 2006 (in large part, thanks to Harisu), while others have allowed this for decades.

You can make an outie into an innie with a high degree of realism. Making an innie into an outie is much more difficult.

I don’t think a male-to-female transsexual should be viewed as a gay man. Most of the gay men I know are pretty into their penises and really like having one — at least as much, if not much more, than a straight man. I know I’m on rather good terms with mine. Imagine having yours cut off and thrown away! How dissatisfied with it would you have to be?

Oh come on now, Sperwer — I’m not talking about my own sex-change surgery or my own homosexuality. Or even, really, my own penis. I’m trying to tap into the universal human trait of empathy. What kind of man would want to have his snipped off? Dude has got to be profoundly unhappy with the original equipment to take such a drastic step.

You know, Brendon, the beauty of MTF gender reassignment is that in actuality, you _don’t_ lose your penis. Since this is ostensibly a family blog, I’ll stop there, but if you think about it, you can probably envision what happens.

Let’s get to the mechanics of it. Aside from the social/celeb issues…

    Pros
    - Arguably beautiful, albeit fake.
    - Feminine, but emotions not hormonally driven.
    - No birthcontrol required.
    - Extended conversations about sports/hobbies/politics possible.
    - When you’re both done, you’re both done. No need to cuddle afterwards.

    Cons:
    - No true female (multi)orgasms. In my case, my wife would have left me long ago if I couldn’t turn on the tap at will.
    - No self-lubrication. Makes me cringe.
    - No prospect of procreation, unless I’m mistaken about the current state of genetic manipulation.

I think the rapper looks more feminine than Harisu does. I don’t have a problem with this union. If it makes them happy, then fine.

Totally unrelated comment: Shout out to my old buddy Brendon Carr. Tim Miller here coming to you live from the Philippines.

Technically, Dogbert is right - the penis is actually reformed into a vagina. The curious with a strong stomach can read about the procedure here:

    Wow and Eeuw!

It would also be interesting to know the ratio of the length of the index finger to ring finger on Harisu’s hand. For males, the ring finger is longer because as a fetus they are exposed to more testosterone. For females, since they are exposed to estrogen, the length is shorter.

If Harisu’s ring finger is comparable to that of an average female, or at least sufficiently different from that of an average male, then it is one evidence which would support her chosen destiny as a woman.

Hey, when did this become ‘a family blog’? That seems almost more shocking than gender reassignment.

Will Harisu be married or does the person try to make a wedding event? The person has been reported by many articles about its romatic relations many times. 우승우, 정영진, and one anonymous, oo someone. Huh.
It makes me think that the person has finally found a showwindow or project partner.

    About same-sex marriage,

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/.....00876.html

Do u know this short novel?

    http://www.ibiblio.org/eldritch/tales/egg.html

    From this novel,

From the phenomena of the above novel, we can deduce conclusions on humanbeings and other organs of all living things.
I don’t know Harisu has something
on DNA level or develomental stage or just the person has spiritual something to make her gender allocation.
But, anyway there’s a record on ANDROGENE, 사방지 in Joseun Dynasty.

사방지 made sex affairs with numerous women; one of them was the wife of 장영실, a famous engineer at that time.

More about 사방지, refer to 세종 period in 조선왕조실록.

    Omitted quote from 『The Egg』,

On a chicken farm where hundreds and even thousands of chickens come out of eggs, surprising things sometimes happen. Grotesques are born out of eggs as out of people. The accident does not often occur–perhaps once in a thousand births. A chicken is, you see, born that has four legs, two pairs of wings, two heads or what not. The things do not live. They go quickiy back to the hand of their maker that has for a moment trembled. The fact that the poor little things could not live was one of the tragedies of life to father. He had some sort of notion that if he could but bring into henhood or roosterhood a five-legged hen or a two-headed rooster his fortune would be made. He dreamed of taking the wonder about to county fairs and of growing rich by exhibiting it to other farmhands.
