Nevermind, Zonath. Had those goofs been speaking with North American accents, there'd be the predictably boring round of yank-bashing, perhaps not on this website, dominated by Americans, but on others.

Well pardon me, Brad, but when some dumb yuck is mangling Japanese (or any language) with his awful accent (and even basic lack of knowledge of how to conjugate a goddamned verb in order to use a respectful form with a police officer), I'm going to call it as I see it. And I really don't see how this drunken asshole deserves any sympathy from you or anyone else. After all, if all he got off with is a ripped shirt and a couple smacks (with a night of jail thrown in to sleep off the stupid - not that that would help), he was far luckier than he should have been.

Zonath,

You got it right. He just kept mumbling something about how his poor shirt got ripped. No deficiency on your part, all of the Japanese spoken by the furreners in the video is pretty poor.

Really, I was hoping after wasting 3 minutes of my life watching that video expecting a pay-off that at least that f*ck wit would have gotten thrown into the back of that garbage truck and the imbecile filming it would have captured that rare moment on tape when the dude's brains splattered against an old rotten bag of fish guts.

If that incident would have taken place in Anytown, USA, we would have been treated to a good old fashioned ass kicking. Just as it should be. Step out of line...welcome to a world of pain.

would anyone who speak japanese be willing to do a quick rundown on what was said? i really wonder what the fellow was saying to the cops.

My Japanese is extremely rusty, but he seemed to have been saying something like, "My shirt is ripped. That guy did it." I couldn't really understand much of what he was saying after that. I'm not sure whether that's a deficiency on my part, or because of his crap Australian accent and the drunken slurring.

Gotta love the friends who filmed this, though. I mean, they didn't necessarily have to interfere on the guy's behalf, but they could at least have tried to keep from laughing so hard while the guy was getting his proper comeuppance.
