Are you a U.S. soldier? Is so, you apparently represent a threat to the Asian women in your vicinity:
TOKYO, Jan 31 (IPS) – Japan’s plans to boost its defence capability with the support of the United States is being opposed by women’s rights activists who say that U.S. military bases in this country are a danger to women who live in their vicinities.More than a hundred women activists and their supporters, including Korean anti-American base groups, held a meeting on Monday night to mark the first anniversary of the murder of a 56-year-old woman who was robbed and killed by an American sailor on January 2006, close to Camp Zama in Yokusuka, Kanagawa prefecture, a suburb of Tokyo.
Reiko Ashizawa, one of the organisers, blamed “sheer lack of respect for Asian women in the U.S. military and the Japanese government as the root cause of the problem.”
“We are up against a culture where women’s rights are considered secondary. Our demonstration drew attention to this situation,” she told IPS.

Stupid. We should start a movement against stereotyping of US soldiers. It seems they are the only group that it is OK to stereotype these days.
I believe we had this discussion already, and seem to recall it was decided that Arabs, Asians and Southerners were also OK to stereotype.

Then all those Asian women I see in the clubs and pubs around Itaewon must be feminist secret agents gathering the evidence they need to blow the lid off the world of us misogynist GI and civilian creeps. Let’s check with Jodi and see if she knows the names of any decent Booking Clubs that will allow us an opportunity to display our culture and refinement for more appreciative ladies.

By the way, in my humble opinion, everyone comes into this goddamn world with equal respect regardless of race, gender, or religion.
If you lose respect, Ms. Ashizawa, think about why and how you lost it and what you yourselves should do to gain it back.

So Korean demonstrators are now going to Japan to protest the US Military there? Must be practice for the day when USFK pulls out and they become irrelevant at home.
