Michael makes a very good point about identity vis-a-vis foreigners in the media here and the fact that representations of such are usually goofy charactertures. Aside from the Isaac Dursts and the silly waygukin female game shows, does anyone recall seeing a remotely normal image of one of us in the media? Or is it that all Korean TV is whacky and/or melodramatic and that is simply how people relate here?
