All hail the might of Scott Silvers!

Feel the DoomWith the Super Bowl coming up, this seems like a good time to officially announce the winner of the first  season of the Insular Korean Cluster Football League.

This year’s winner was the BuPyeong Silverbacks, managed by Scott Silvers.  They Defeated the Itaewon Sweetlife to win Kimchi Bowl I and take home the Hines Ward Trophy.

The Silverbacks went 9-5 in the regular season and finished first in the Paekche Division.  Their regular season honors include Monster of the Year for most points scored and the Elvis ‘68 Comeback of the Year Award for starting the season 3-4 and ending it 9-5.

Other teams of note include the Gangnam Georiae Namjas, who went 11-3 in the regular season and wont the Goguryeo Division.

Finally, the Marmot’s Hole did have one good team in the IKKFL.  Dram Man’s Wonju Wobblers took the Shilla Division crown with a record of 10-4.

Alas, the season was not so good for the Hole’s other two teams.  Neither the Rabid Marmots nor my own Mungyeong Fighting Yangbans made the playoffs.

 There is always next season.

BTW, if you like that picture of Scott, check out this picture of me all geared up.
