Makes me think of a business idea. I am going to start an English program called “Blinglish”, or “Blue Ocean English”. Using the Blue Ocean srategy to teach English. Classes will be $1000 an hour, cubic zirconia not included.

“Blue ocean” refers to a marketing strategy, consumer is self-explanatory, and “blusumer” refers to government agencies that issue meaningless navel-gazing reports ;)

While ugly in English, the term “blusumer” does make sense–unlike most of the writing in the wretched Korea Times.

Do they actually have an editor there?

You know you’ve been in Korea for a long time, maybe too long, if you can make sense of this statement:

“Those ‘bluesumers’ could easily get an ’s-line’ if they ate more ‘wellbing’ food.”
